Old Story Songs
Well, for some reason I've been listening to some dusty old songs, and (well don't get me wrong they are still friggin awesome songs, I still find myself rockin out to them) ...Anyways for this Sunday's assignment I thought I'd put in songs from the back from the past, the first one everyone should know, it's
Don't Stop Believin'-Journey
(Not by the Glee Cast, they played that version at a Stake Dance and I was outraged!!!...*Sigh*, Okay not outraged, just peeved...)
- Setting? Lonely World/South Detroit/Midnight Train/Smokey Room
- Character? Lonely Girl/City Boy/Singer/And people living to find emotion
- Conflict? Sort of, I guess the conflict is the never-ending quest to find emotion
- Plot? Starts out with the midnight train couple, and elevates to the main theme, people finding emotion, and then it talks about people winning in losing in this endeavor...And it concludes with the idea that we should hold on to that feeling and don't stop believing
And the next song I chose was
Summer in the City - STYX
- Setting? Umm...Summer in the City
- Character? ...Sweaty man/people, that come alive at night
- Conflict? The bloody heat sucking the life out of people
- Plot? Well...It's hot during the day...Then it becomes nighttime, and the city comes alive...I guess its a short plot, that repeats itself, because so does day and night... Made sense to me...
Anyways, ya I put those two songs in my Grooveshark Widget to the right...so ya... See you next week...
